{"id":64554,"date":"2026-09-16T22:00:22","date_gmt":"2026-09-16T21:00:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=64554"},"modified":"2026-09-16T19:14:21","modified_gmt":"2026-09-16T18:14:21","slug":"in-pictures-3065-returns-to-service-on-metrolink","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=64554","title":{"rendered":"In Pictures: 3065 returns to service on Metrolink"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Manchester Metrolink M5000 3065<\/strong> has become the latest long-term absentee to return to service with it being used (albeit briefly) on Saturday 5<sup>th<\/sup> September 2026 for the first time in 18 months.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>3065<\/strong> had been absent from service since it was involved in an RTC on 2<sup>nd<\/sup> March 2025 but after the completion of repairs at Queens Road Depot it was returned to the operational fleet.<\/p>\n<p>It was duly allocated to the East Didsbury service on 5<sup>th<\/sup> September and ran for a couple of hours before suffering from a minor fault. It was returned to Trafford Depot where it was booked in to receive further attention anyway. With this completed the tram is now back in service permanently (and hopefully without any more major incidents!).<\/p>\n<p><strong>3065<\/strong> is one of those trams where trouble seems to follow it as this is its second long-term period out of service.
