{"id":64520,"date":"2026-09-18T18:00:20","date_gmt":"2026-09-18T17:00:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=64520"},"modified":"2026-09-06T10:58:19","modified_gmt":"2026-09-06T09:58:19","slug":"picture-in-time-manchester-765-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=64520","title":{"rendered":"Picture in Time: Manchester 765"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We return to Heaton Park in 1980 for another look at <strong>Manchester 765<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>765<\/strong> has now left Middleton Road Gates and with a smattering of passengers on board it now heads further into the Park with a trip along the preserved tramway. As <strong>765<\/strong> was the only serviceable tram at the Park at this time it used the same track in both directions.<\/p>\n<p>The spur into the Park was disconnected in January 1934 and the tracks were just covered in tarmac. Instead a turning circle for the replacement buses was created.
