The main summer operating season at the Seaton Tramway has now come to an end and as September starts the Yellow timetable will return on weekdays which will see the trams get an extra hour off every evening as it ends at 1600 instead of 1700. But before we got to that change, August was a busy month for the tramway and the Seaton Tramway newsletter has let us know which trams ran the most.<\/p>\n

And the tram which ran more than any other one was 11<\/strong> \u2013 it managed to cover 1008 miles which equates to 168 trips on the line.<\/p>\n August is the peak summer season so the other two trams which made up the top three are probably no surprise as it\u2019s the other two \u201cnew\u201d trams (which have the highest capacity). 10<\/strong> running for 990 miles and 9<\/strong>, 930 miles.<\/p>\n 14<\/strong> didn\u2019t run at all during August with 19<\/strong> having just run for 48 miles and 16<\/strong> for 72 miles.<\/p>\n 4<\/strong> \u2013 the Blackpool Boat tram \u2013 was also used on a fairly regular basis with it managing to cover 216 miles. This must surely be one of its highest mileage months in recent years?<\/p>\n In other news from Seaton work to repaint the depot floor has taken place and this has included all designated danger areas clearly outlined in red.<\/p>\n Seaton Tramway runs every day until Sunday 1st<\/sup> November. Trams start at 1000 every day with weekends in September seeing the Blue timetable run until 1700.
