Applications are being invited from charities in the local area to become the chosen charity of Edinburgh Trams and Lothian Buses in 2026\/7. Lothian Buses have been doing something similar for a number of years and now with the integration of the two operations, Edinburgh Trams will join in by supporting a dedicated charity partner.<\/p>\n

Since 2017 Lothian Buses have supported a number of local charities including Macmillan Cancer Support, Guide Dogs Scotland and Age Scotland (the latter of which are the current charity partner).<\/p>\n
And now the integrated transport operator is looking for a new charity to support over the next year. Any charity can apply but they will need to demonstrate that they have an impact in either the City of Edinburgh, West Lothian or Midlothian.<\/p>\n
Gaynor Marshall, Communications Director for Lothian Buses and Edinburgh Trams, said: \u201cAs one of the region\u2019s largest employers, we are committed to playing an active role in the communities we serve and helping make a positive difference to the lives of local people.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur partnership with Age Scotland has been incredibly rewarding, and we are proud to have supported its vital work to improve the lives of older people across Edinburgh and the Lothians.<\/p>\n
