This is the 43<sup>rd<\/sup> of the trains to have carried passengers on at least one occasion \u2013 leaving just three more to go!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>555 024<\/strong> had been delivered to the Tyne and Wear Metro on 15<sup>th<\/sup> November 2025. It arrived as part of a delivery of three with 555 025 and 555 030 \u2013 both of which have already entered service on 18<sup>th<\/sup> July 2026 and 18<sup>th<\/sup> March 2026 respectively. For 555 024 its first use was 16<sup>th<\/sup> August 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The remaining units yet to enter service are <strong>555 022<\/strong> (arrived 20<sup>th<\/sup> February 2026), <strong>555 023<\/strong> (arrived 7<sup>th<\/sup> February 2026) and <strong>555 046<\/strong> (arrived 21<sup>st<\/sup> February 2026).<\/p>\n<p>With more of the units being available, the use of the remaining Metrocars in passenger service has been decreasing with it now being over three weeks since the last pair were used.
