The tramway remains double track before we come to the junction with Wellesley Road and this is where the central Croydon loop starts. With narrow streets available through the centre of Croydon it was decided to have a single track loop line through the town centre, trams running in an anti-clockwise direction.<\/p>\n<p>Along George Street we go and come to the simple single platform stop here which, as you would expect, has all the usual London Trams features. Its fairly narrow here with a footpath also going behind the stop in front of the old Allders store, which traded there between 1862 and 2012.
