{"id":63990,"date":"2026-08-05T20:00:54","date_gmt":"2026-08-05T19:00:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=63990"},"modified":"2026-08-05T19:34:05","modified_gmt":"2026-08-05T18:34:05","slug":"overhead-line-damage-leads-to-west-midlands-metro-disruption-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=63990","title":{"rendered":"Overhead line damage leads to West Midlands Metro disruption"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>West Midlands Metro services were unable to run between Bull Street and Millennium Point\/Edgbaston Village for a period of time on Tuesday 28<sup>th<\/sup> July 2026 following overhead line damage close to Lower Bull Street.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The problem was first reported on West Midland Metro\u2019s X feed just before 1500 on 28<sup>th<\/sup> July and it wasn\u2019t until the start of service on 29<sup>th<\/sup> July that the problem was resolved allowing a full service to resume.<\/p>\n<p>The exact issue with the overhead is not known.<\/p>\n<p>Whilst initially services from Wolverhampton were able to run as far as Bull Street, later on in the day trams turned at St Chad\u2019s.
