{"id":63900,"date":"2026-07-25T12:00:01","date_gmt":"2026-07-25T11:00:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=63900"},"modified":"2026-07-24T19:56:10","modified_gmt":"2026-07-24T18:56:10","slug":"forthcoming-london-trams-engineering-works","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=63900","title":{"rendered":"Forthcoming London Trams engineering works"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This August will see over three weeks of engineering works taking place in the centre of Croydon leading to a split service operating on the London Trams system.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Starting from 2100 on Wednesday 5<sup>th<\/sup> August until the end of service on Sunday 30<sup>th<\/sup> August 2026 there will be essential maintenance work taking place to improve the tramway.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday 5<sup>th<\/sup> August<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From 2100 there will be some disruption to services with some services finishing earlier than normal<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday 6<sup>th<\/sup> to Sunday 30<sup>th<\/sup> August<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No trams between Reeves Corner and East Croydon<\/p>\n<p>Trams will run:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wimbledon to Reeves Corner<\/li>\n<li>East Croydon to New Addington<\/li>\n<li>East Croydon to Beckenham Junction<\/li>\n<li>East Croydon to Elmers End (will start later and end earlier than usual with the line usually used for stabling trams which can\u2019t get back to depot)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Sunday 16<sup>th<\/sup> and Thursday 20<sup>th<\/sup> August will also see further disruption from 2000 until the start of service the following day.
