Please remember that the aim of this list is to show any heritage trams which have run in service during the year \u2013 that can include private hires but if its only out for driver training and\/or on test that doesn\u2019t qualify. If you notice any errors or omissions please let us know!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Beamish \u2013 The Living Museum of the North<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Blackpool: 31<\/p>\n<p>Oporto: 196<\/p>\n<p>Sheffield: 264<\/p>\n<p>Sunderland: 16<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunderland 16<\/strong> is currently out of service.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Black Country Living Museum<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The tramway remains closed. There are currently no plans for the tramway to be reinstated although funding is now in place for a trolleybus service to resume.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Blackpool Tramway<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Balloon: 717<\/p>\n<p>Illuminated: Frigate<\/p>\n<p>Bolton: 66<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Frigate<\/strong> last ran in January 2026 as part of the 2025 Illuminations season. Other trams have been used on private hires but no public tours have taken place and no details have been released yet of plans for 2026.<\/p>\n<p><strong>National Tramway Museum<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Blackpool: 40, 167, 236, 762<\/p>\n<p>Blackpool &amp; Fleetwood: 40<\/p>\n<p>Glasgow: 22<\/p>\n<p>Leeds: 345, 399<\/p>\n<p>Liverpool: 869<\/p>\n<p>London County Council: 1, 106<\/p>\n<p>London Transport: 1622<\/p>\n<p>Newcastle: 102<\/p>\n<p>Sheffield: 74, 510<\/p>\n<p><strong>Douglas Bay Horse Tramway<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>18, 21, 27, 36, 45<\/p>\n<p><strong>East Anglia Transport Museum<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Amsterdam: 474<\/p>\n<p>Blackpool: 11, 634<\/p>\n<p>London Transport: 1858<\/p>\n<p>Sheffield: 513<\/p>\n<p><strong>Great Orme Tramway<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>4, 5, 6, 7<\/p>\n<p><strong>Heaton Park Tramway<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The tramway remains closed with substation works ongoing. It is planned that service will resume in 2026, although no date has yet been announced.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Manx Electric Railway<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Motors: 1, 2, 5, 7, 9, 14, 16, 19, 20, 21, 22, 32<\/p>\n<p>Trailers: 40, 41, 42, 44, 48, 49, 50, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seaton Tramway<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 19<\/p>\n<p><strong>Snaefell Mountain Railway<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1, 4, 5<\/p>\n<p><strong>Statfold Barn Railway<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No information available but it has been confirmed Burton &amp; Ashby 14 is planned to be out at the 1940s Weekend on 18<sup>th<\/sup> and 19<sup>th<\/sup> July 2026.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Summerlee Museum<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The tramway is currently closed and has not run since late 2022. The tramway will not be able to resume operation until a new engineer has been appointed, and despite attempts this recruitment has not been successful.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Volk\u2019s Electric Railway<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>4, 6, 9, 10<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wirral Heritage Tramway<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The tramway remains closed with no resumption of operation likely in the foreseeable future. The last update was that new operators Big Heritage were attempting legal action against the Council in regards to the withdrawal of funding and that was just the Museum with no mention of the actual tramway.<\/p>\n<p><em>Information is believed correct up to and including Sunday 12<sup>th<\/sup> July 2026. This list is intended to show those trams which have run in some form of passenger service during 2026 (and thus does not include those on test\/driver training) and is as accurate as possible, although errors may have occurred.
