{"id":63717,"date":"2026-07-08T22:00:23","date_gmt":"2026-07-08T21:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=63717"},"modified":"2026-07-08T18:10:34","modified_gmt":"2026-07-08T17:10:34","slug":"king-charles-iii-to-take-a-ride-on-the-douglas-bay-horse-tramway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=63717","title":{"rendered":"King Charles III to take a ride on the Douglas Bay Horse Tramway!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>King Charles III \u2013 who also holds the title Lord of Mann as the Head of State of the Isle of Man \u2013 is to make his first official visit to the Isle of Man since his Coronation on Tuesday 14<sup>th<\/sup> July 2026.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Amongst the various aspects of his visit he will enjoy a short ride on the Douglas Bay Horse Tramway (it is planned that recently restored double decker <strong>18<\/strong> will be used) to help mark the 150<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of the tramway.<\/p>\n<p>He will also meet with tram staff.
