The Bucket and Spade List is run every year by the Seaside Heritage Network and looks to the public to vote for their top seaside experiences. Last year saw the Douglas Bay Horse Tramway voted into second place (beaten by Redcar\u2019s lemon top ice cream!) and the Central Tramway in Scarborough also nominated, and now it is time for a new set of experiences to be put forward.<\/p>\n

There are two nominees which will likely interest readers of this website with both Brighton\u2019s Volk\u2019s Electric Railway and the Aberystwyth Cliff Railway amongst ten nominees for public votes.<\/p>\n
Other experiences nominated are Herne Bay Pier, Wemyss Bay Railway Station, Tinside Lido (Plymouth), Weymouth Deckchairs, Blackpool Colonnades, North and South Marine Parks (South Shields), Harbour Bay (Scarborough) and Shell Grotto (Margate).<\/p>\n
