{"id":63673,"date":"2026-07-04T22:00:06","date_gmt":"2026-07-04T21:00:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=63673"},"modified":"2026-07-03T19:48:30","modified_gmt":"2026-07-03T18:48:30","slug":"two-more-stadler-trains-enter-service-on-the-metro","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=63673","title":{"rendered":"Two more Stadler trains enter service on the Metro"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It had been almost a month since the last new Stadler train had entered service on the Tyne and Wear Metro but that all changed on Thursday 2<sup>nd <\/sup>July 2026 when not one but two more of the units ran with passengers for the very first time.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The first of the two to enter service was <strong>555 044<\/strong> and that was then followed later on in the day by <strong>555 043<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>555 044<\/strong> was delivered to the Tyne and Wear Metro network on 5<sup>th<\/sup> December 2025, arriving with <strong>555 033<\/strong> (entering service 25<sup>th<\/sup> April 2026) and <strong>555 042<\/strong> (which entered service on 24<sup>th<\/sup> May 2026).<\/p>\n<p>And <strong>555 043<\/strong> was an arrival on 10<sup>th<\/sup> October 2025.
