We have time for one more photo from the Isle of Man before \u201cPicture in Time\u201d moves on again.<\/p>\n

Having been at Laxey Station last week, this week we are at\u2026 Laxey Station again! The tram we see here is 1906 built Crossbench 33<\/strong>. In comparison to other trams on the Isle of Man 33<\/strong> is actually relatively new with it being the newest motor built for the Manx Electric Railway \u2013 some 120 years ago! Built by the United Electric Car Company, Preston it was one of two Crossbench Cars built at the same time (32<\/strong> being the other).<\/p>\n

33<\/strong>\u2019s biggest claim to fame is probably that it has also run on the Isle of Man Steam Railway in 1998 and 1999 (with a diesel generator providing power).<\/p>\n

It is currently undergoing an overhaul and last ran in passenger service during 2023.<\/p>\n

Here we see it in the now disconnected Laxey Goods Shed siding waiting its next duty.<\/p>\n
