UKTram are continuing their work to support shared learning, collaboration and knowledge exchange across the light rail sector with the addition of updated operational and technical resources to their Members Hub. These documents are there to help operators across the country and are as a result of the continued knowledge sharing that the organisation are leading.<\/p>\n

There are both operational and technical resources now available in the hub. This includes updated guidance on Driver Recruitment Best Practice, Driver Training and Rostering \u2013 all having been developed through discussions in the Light Rail Operations Committee (LROC).<\/p>\n
In addition there are engineering resources including a detailed technical report explaining Edinburgh Trams; rail-to-highway sealant replacement programme which documents the methodology, equipment, best practice and lessons learned from the works, alongside supporting information on the sealant application technology which was used.<\/p>\n
The operational resources have been compiled by UKTram\u2019s Operations Manager, Steve Duckering. He said: \u201cThese documents would not have been possible without the collaboration and willingness across the sector to share knowledge and experience. They also demonstrate the value of UKTram\u2019s functional groups and their role in supporting learning and discussion across the industry.\u201d<\/p>\n
