Three colleagues who work for South Yorkshire Supertram are taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge in June. They will be raising money for Andy Man\u2019s Club, a charity that provides free peer-to-peer support groups across the UK.<\/p>\n

Tram driver Simon Scanes, Conductor Charlie Gillott, and Rolling Stock Maintenance Lead Technician Gary Willcock will be tackling the challenge which sees them attempt to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in 24 hours. It will see them cover 23 miles on foot, 3,348 metres of ascent and hundreds of miles of driving between the peaks.<\/p>\n
The challenge is being supported by Supertram through their Tramendous Together initiative. This is a social value programme which helps colleagues raise funds and volunteer to causes that matter to them.<\/p>\n
Supertram are helping the trio with transport costs and contributing towards their fundraising efforts.<\/p>\n
The team are hoping to raise \u00a31,000, and have already raised over \u00a3540 through a Coffee, Cake and Chat event.<\/p>\n
Simon Scanes said: \u201cThis challenge is about supporting a charity that makes a real difference. It’s also a great opportunity for us to come together as colleagues, push ourselves and raise money for a cause we\u2019re passionate about.”<\/p>\n
Charlie Gillott added: \u201cAndy\u2019s Man Club provides an incredible service and I’m proud to be helping raise awareness and funds for the charity. It\u2019s been great seeing colleagues get behind the challenge and support one another.\u201d<\/p>\n
