But even though it only comes in second place it serves half the population of the city and with just over 90 miles of route and a fleet of 726 trams (still making it the envy of most cities in the UK!). It runs on standard gauge track and features 28 different routes. The history of trams in Warsaw goes all the way back to 1866 when a horse tram line was opened, and things just built from there.<\/p>\n<p>In this photo we see two Konstal 105Nb\/e trams in service on route 25.
