We again go to San Francisco for this edition of \u201cAround the World in Trams\u201d as we take one final look at a PCC in service in 2002, before we move on again.<\/p>\n

Over the past few weeks we have seen various former Philadelphia PCC\u2019s on the F-line carrying liveries of other operators across the United States, and that is no different here, although if you see this vehicle today it is a different story!<\/p>\n

1060<\/strong> was built in 1947 as Philadelphia Transportation Company<\/strong> 2715<\/strong> and would remain there until it was acquired by Muni in 1992. Restoration came in 1993 and it entered service in San Francisco during 1995. At that time it was in Newark, New Jersey livery but in November 2002 it suffered severe damage after coming off the tracks and hitting a lamppost. When it returned to service it received the Philadelphia Rapid Transit Company livery.<\/p>\n
