{"id":62956,"date":"2026-05-08T20:00:22","date_gmt":"2026-05-08T19:00:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=62956"},"modified":"2026-05-08T18:49:30","modified_gmt":"2026-05-08T17:49:30","slug":"south-yorkshire-supertram-engineering-works-23rd-to-31st-may-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=62956","title":{"rendered":"South Yorkshire Supertram Engineering Works: 23rd to 31st May 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The last week of May 2026 will see more engineering works taking place on the South Yorkshire Supertram network with rail replacement set to take place at Gleadless Townend, Donetsk Way and Westfield.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>As a result of these works trams will only run as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Blue route: Malin Bridge to Gleadless Townend<\/li>\n<li>Purple route: Suspended<\/li>\n<li>Yellow route: Normal service between Middlewood and Meadowhall<\/li>\n<li>Tram-Train route: Normal service between Cathedral and Rotherham Parkgate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Replacement bus service BL1 will operate between Hollinsend and Halfway. There will no replacement service to Herdings Park with passengers advised to use local bus services to complete their journeys (although local bus services will also be impacted by the engineering works owing to road closures).<\/p>\n<p>The work is part of the continued investment being made across the Supertram network to help ensure the reliability of the service.
