{"id":62929,"date":"2026-05-09T18:00:23","date_gmt":"2026-05-09T17:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=62929"},"modified":"2026-05-03T20:04:20","modified_gmt":"2026-05-03T19:04:20","slug":"around-the-world-in-trams-san-francisco-1057","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=62929","title":{"rendered":"Around the World in Trams: San Francisco 1057"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We continue \u201cAround the World in Trams\u201d with another view of a PCC in operation in San Francisco.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>As with last week\u2019s example, <strong>San Francisco 1057<\/strong> was originally built for Philadelphia Transportation Company in 1948 and would remain there until 1992 when it was acquired by Muni.
