<\/a>And in this edition its not only the type of tram that is different but also the fact that the stop the \u201cOld(er)\u201d image covers is no longer there! This is Mosley Street which first opened to trams on 27th April 1992 and was a single platform, one direction only stop (southbound only). When Metrolink was first built a number of stops in the city centre were also not full height for the full length with the T68 trams having retractable steps which allowed passengers on and off. But whilst other stops in the city were rebuilt, Mosley Street was not and with the advent of the M5000s (which did not have the retractable steps) it was decided to close it with the last trams calling on 18th May 2013. On 2nd May 2011 we see 1002 arriving at the stop with a service to Altrincham.<\/p><\/div>\n
<\/a>On 21st March 2026 and its almost 13 years since a tram last called at Mosley Street with the location now just plain pavement and most people walking on by probably having no idea that they would once have been able to get onto a tram. 3144 is seen here passing the site with a service to Manchester Airport.
