{"id":62909,"date":"2026-05-08T22:00:52","date_gmt":"2026-05-08T21:00:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=62909"},"modified":"2026-05-08T18:48:58","modified_gmt":"2026-05-08T17:48:58","slug":"london-transport-1622-sheffield-510-enter-service-at-crich","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=62909","title":{"rendered":"London Transport 1622 &#038; Sheffield 510 enter service at Crich"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>London Passenger Transport Board 1622<\/strong> and <strong>Sheffield 510<\/strong> have become the eleventh and twelfth tram to carry passengers at the National Tramway Museum in 2026 following their entries into service at the start of May 2026. its entry into service on Saturday 2<sup>nd<\/sup> May 2026.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>1622<\/strong> was the first to be used with it out initially on Saturday 2nd May 2026 having gone through commissioning and then <strong>510<\/strong> followed it on Thursday 7th May 2026<\/p>\n<p>Both trams had run in 2025 (as is the same case for all the trams to have run so far this year).<\/p>\n<p><strong>1622<\/strong> is a unique tram in preservation being the only survivior of the biggest class of tram ever seen in the UK, the E\/1s whereas <strong>510<\/strong> is one of two Roberts Cars to survive.
