UKTram will be one of the organisations attending the seminar along with other leading organisations from the rail and light rail sectors.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Light Rail: Making City Rail Travel More Sustainable will be providing a platform for stakeholders to share insight on current projects and sector challenges. It comes after the Government\u2019s 10 Year Infrastructure Strategy allocated \u00a315.6 billion to transport system \u2013 including light rail.<\/p>\n<p>The strategy reinforced the role of light rail in supporting economic growth, improving connectivity and enabling more sustainable, integrated transport networks.<\/p>\n<p>James Hammett, UKTram Managing Director, will be at the event providing an update on sector activity and reflect on the opportunities and challenges which are facing light rail.<\/p>\n<p>James commented: \u201cIt\u2019s encouraging to see the sector come together and to have the opportunity to understand challenges and opportunities across projects, while connecting with colleagues from different parts of the industry.
