{"id":62260,"date":"2026-03-14T22:00:31","date_gmt":"2026-03-14T22:00:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=62260"},"modified":"2026-03-14T18:31:42","modified_gmt":"2026-03-14T18:31:42","slug":"in-pictures-a-pre-season-shunt-at-crich","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=62260","title":{"rendered":"In Pictures: A pre-season shunt at Crich"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The National Tramway Museum may now be open for the 2026 season with its first operating day of the year being earlier today (Saturday 14<sup>th<\/sup> March), but shortly before the doors were flung open to the public there was a shunt of trams around the Great Exhibition Hall as shown in these pictures courtesy of Peter Whiteley.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The main purpose of the shunt was to provide more space around <strong>Leeds 602<\/strong> to improve access to this tram, and this necessitated some trams to be temporarily moved out the way. Some trams which haven\u2019t seen the light of day for some time.
