{"id":62226,"date":"2026-03-12T18:00:51","date_gmt":"2026-03-12T18:00:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=62226"},"modified":"2026-03-11T19:19:22","modified_gmt":"2026-03-11T19:19:22","slug":"blackpool-tramway-engineering-works-march-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=62226","title":{"rendered":"Blackpool Tramway Engineering Works: March 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There will be essential trackworks taking place in Fleetwood for up to three weeks from Sunday 15<sup>th<\/sup> March 2026, which will see all tram services from Starr Gate terminating at Fisherman\u2019s Walk for the duration.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The current timetable \u2013 which has a 15 minute frequency with alternate trams going via North Station \u2013 will continue to run during this period with the only change being that it will only run as far as Fisherman\u2019s Walk with no trams serving London Street, Victoria Street or Fleetwood Ferry.<\/p>\n<p>Steve Staley, Blackpool Transport\u2019s Tramway Operations and Safety Manager, said: \u201cIn advance of the works, we would like to apologise for any inconvenience to customers who will need to complete their journeys by using our bus services.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis investment in upgrades to the line will help ensure more reliable and comfortable services in the future as we continue to make improvements across the network.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will be working as quickly as possible to reopen this short section of the tramway as soon as we can, and hope to restore a full service during the busy Easter holidays.
