The Light Rail Safety and Standards Board (LRSSB) have confirmed a new appointment to their board, with Head of Finance & Commercial at South Yorkshire Supertram, Ian Law, the latest addition.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Ian has already played an important role in strengthening Supertram\u2019s future by helping to lead the successful transition into local authority control. He was previously in a senior role at Manchester Metrolink and has supported major light rail projects across the UK, including advising West Midlands Metro.<\/p>\n
Carl Williams, Chief Executive of LRSSB, said: \u201cAs the light rail sector continues to grow, our organisation will continue to evolve in line with its requirements, and Ian\u2019s experience will prove invaluable as we explore a range of commercial opportunities and work towards greater independence.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ian Law commented: \u201cHaving already assisted the organisation with business planning and commercial modelling, I\u2019m excited at the prospect of taking this work forward as a non-executive director.
