The tram is now named Steven Knight (after the creator of the hit TV series, which has now spawned a film) and will be carrying the vinyls for the next 12 months.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This livery is the third time that <strong>58<\/strong> has carried special advertising vinyls and follows on from adverts for KFC (July-August 2024) and Birmingham City University (September 2024-October 2025). The new vinyls are a dark colour and say \u201cHome of the Peaky Blinders\u201d with an image of Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby.<\/p>\n<p>As well as the vinyls the tram is also now named \u201cSteven Knight\u201d, who is the creator of Peaky Blinders, which was originally broadcast on the BBC. A new film is being released at cinemas nationwide on 6<sup>th<\/sup> March and will then be available on Netflix from 20<sup>th<\/sup> March. The naming took place in Centenary Square on 2<sup>nd<\/sup> March (which meant that for a time on that day no trams ran Grand Central-Edgbaston Village) and recognises his commitment to championing Birmingham and the West Midlands on screen and his support for the region\u2019s film industry.<\/p>\n<p>Steven Knight said: \u201cThis is a great honour for me, on a day when the world\u2019s gaze is on my home city, Birmingham, for the world premiere of Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man.
