But that\u2019s not to say that nothing has happened as we have seen the latest Stadler train carry its first passengers.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>555 034<\/strong> is the latest train to enter service with the first reports of being used in anger being Thursday 12<sup>th<\/sup> February 2026.<\/p>\n<p>This particular unit was delivered to the Metro on 10<sup>th<\/sup> October 2025, with it coming in the same delivery as <strong>555 037<\/strong> and <strong>555 043<\/strong> \u2013 neither of which have yet to be used in service.<\/p>\n<p>This is the 30<sup>th<\/sup> of the 46 trains to have been used in service: <strong>555 001<\/strong>&#8211;<strong>555 021<\/strong>, <strong>555 027<\/strong>, <strong>555 028<\/strong>, <strong>555 031<\/strong>, <strong>555 034<\/strong>, <strong>555 035<\/strong>, <strong>555 038<\/strong>&#8211;<strong>555 041<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The final three units (<strong>555 022<\/strong>, <strong>555 029<\/strong>, <strong>555 046<\/strong>) are expected to be delivered later this month.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After a busy few weeks of trains going for scrap and new trains being delivered, the past seven days have been far quieter on the Tyne and Wear Metro.
