{"id":60919,"date":"2025-11-17T22:00:13","date_gmt":"2025-11-17T22:00:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=60919"},"modified":"2025-11-17T13:28:20","modified_gmt":"2025-11-17T13:28:20","slug":"the-next-three-arrive-on-the-tyne-and-wear-metro","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=60919","title":{"rendered":"The next three arrive on the Tyne and Wear Metro"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There are now just nine more of the new Tyne and Wear Metro trains to arrive in the northeast following the delivery of another three over two nights on 14<sup>th<\/sup> and 15<sup>th<\/sup> November 2025.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This latest delivery was actually delayed by a week with an issue experienced on mainland Europe meaning it wasn\u2019t possible for the three to make their way to the UK, but after a delay everything went smoothly to allow them to be transported by rail \u2013 just as all the other deliveries have too.<\/p>\n<p>The latest threesome to be delivered are <strong>555 024<\/strong>, <strong>555 025<\/strong> and <strong>555 030<\/strong>. As has been the case since the numbers to arrive in one consist from Switzerland started two were moved onto the Tyne and Wear Metro network on one night with the final one following the next day. This time it was <strong>555 025<\/strong> and <strong>555 030<\/strong> which arrived in the early hours of 14<sup>th<\/sup> November 2025 whilst <strong>555 024<\/strong> followed the next night.<\/p>\n<p>However, this time it was a little different as <strong>555 024<\/strong> remained in Pelaw Sidings awaiting movement to Gosforth Depot into the daytime of 15<sup>th<\/sup> November.
