{"id":60904,"date":"2025-11-15T10:00:16","date_gmt":"2025-11-15T10:00:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=60904"},"modified":"2025-11-14T19:16:40","modified_gmt":"2025-11-14T19:16:40","slug":"metrolink-delays-after-tram-hit-by-car-in-oldham","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=60904","title":{"rendered":"Metrolink delays after tram hit by car in Oldham"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Manchester Metrolink services on the Oldham and Rochdale line were suspended for a time on the morning of Saturday 8<sup>th<\/sup> November after unit heading to Shaw and Crompton was hit by a car.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Volkswagen car \u00a0\u2013 which had earlier been involved in a Police chase, although Greater Manchester Police confirmed that they had stopped the chase before the collision because of the riskto other road users \u2013 hit the side of <strong>3093<\/strong> at the Oldham Way flyover, located close to the Oldham King Street tramstop.<\/p>\n<p>Two men, aged 22 and 24, were arrested at the scene on the suspicion of failing to stop and dangerous driving.
