The pilot to provide discounted travel for visitors and staff to the Birmingham Women\u2019s and Children\u2019s Hospital on the West Midlands Metro has been extended for a further 12 months. For the past six months the West Midlands Metro have partnered with the hospital to offer up to 15% off tram fares for patients and their families travelling to the hospital, and it has proved to be a success with loads of people having taken up the offer.<\/p>\n

And now as from Wednesday 12th<\/sup> November 2025 the scheme will be a permanent fixture for a further 12 months. It not only benefits those visiting the hospital but also staff members.<\/p>\n Michael Reading-Skilton, Head of Commercial at West Midlands Metro, said: \u201cOver the past six months, the offer has proved popular, and we\u2019re delighted that our partnership with the hospital will become a longer-term arrangement.
