Before we leave Blackpool once again we have time for one final image from the Fylde Coast as we go a bit more update to the year 2000.<\/p>\n

This photo was taken at Bispham in a scene which was repeated many times over the years \u2013 trams on specials taking a break on the centre track. And this time was an excellent combination as it\u2019s a double helping of Boat Cars on what was a warm and sunny August day.<\/p>\n
Closest to the camera is 607<\/strong> which was carrying an advertising livery for Travelcard. This advert was first applied in February 1996 and would remain on the tram for the rest of its operating life in Blackpool. Today the tram is part of the fleet at Crich and has returned to more traditional colours as well as losing its driver windscreens and being renumbered 236<\/strong> as it carried when new. Having been stored for seven years it was restored over the next year and was launched into service at Crich in 2012 where it remains a popular part of the operating fleet.<\/p>\n Further along the centre track we see fellow Boat Car, 602<\/strong>. This is carrying the Handybus Yellow and Black livery. This tram remains in Blackpool today but has also enjoyed a makeover with it having received a \u201cwhat may have been\u201d livery of Red and White in 2013. Up until 2024 the tram remained a regular performer in Blackpool but is now stored at Rigby Road Depot where it is currently part of the Tramtown exhibition in the former Fitting Shop.<\/p>\n
