{"id":60532,"date":"2025-10-20T22:00:22","date_gmt":"2025-10-20T21:00:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=60532"},"modified":"2025-10-21T07:54:26","modified_gmt":"2025-10-21T06:54:26","slug":"in-pictures-metrolink-3056-returns-to-service","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=60532","title":{"rendered":"In Pictures: Metrolink 3056 returns to service"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Manchester Metrolink 3056<\/strong> has become the latest tram to return to service after a prolonged period out of use with its first passenger use for almost seven months coming on Thursday 16<sup>th<\/sup> October 2025.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>3056<\/strong> had been out of service since it hit the buffers at Bury on 26<sup>th<\/sup> March 2025 but has now been fully repaired and has been handed back over to the operational team to allow it to become the latest tram to return to the serviceable ranks.<\/p>\n<p>Whilst <strong>3056<\/strong> has now returned to service there are still a number of trams which remain out of servcie in the medium-long-term. Its understood <strong>that 3005<\/strong>, <strong>3053<\/strong> (moved to Scotland for repairs July 2025), <strong>3065<\/strong>, <strong>3091<\/strong>, <strong>3127<\/strong>, <strong>3132<\/strong> and <strong>3138<\/strong> all remain out of use.
