We return to our \u201cSide by Side\u201d photographic series this evening as we once again take a look at trams next to each other.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a summer\u2019s day in the centre of Sheffield when this photo was taken and we\u2019re at the very familiar Supertram location of Cathedral, one of only three stops where (unless there is disruption or engineering works) every single service during the main part of the day will serve. It is also the terminus for services on the Purple and Tram-Train lines. But it\u2019s the other two routes that we see meeting in this view as 120 is operating on the Blue service to Malin Bridge whilst 112 is off to Meadowhall on the Yellow route. The two trams featured are in special liveries with 120 carrying its Sheffield Corporation Tramways inspired livery (originally due to be short-term but ending up on the tram for over 12 years. Meanwhile, 112 is in a special livery extoling the green credentials of the Supertram network, which at this time was still being operated by Stagecoach. 112 retains this livery today but 120 is now \u201cBringing People Together\u201d in a special inclusivity livery.
