{"id":60207,"date":"2025-09-21T17:00:23","date_gmt":"2025-09-21T16:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=60207"},"modified":"2025-09-21T10:13:58","modified_gmt":"2025-09-21T09:13:58","slug":"trams-london-trams-2539-bus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=60207","title":{"rendered":"Trams &#038;: London Trams 2539 &#038; bus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cTrams &amp;\u201d time again and as is so often the case in this series the &amp; part of the image is a bus.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This time we are in London, well Croydon at any rate, and we are just by West Croydon bus station so its probably no surprise that as a tram rounds the corner and climbs Station Road on its way further into Croydon that it comes across a bus. The tram is <strong>2539<\/strong> \u2013 one of the CR4000 class of trams built by Bombardier in 1998\/9 for when the network opened. Its working a service to New Addington on this Easter Monday morning.<\/p>\n<p>As it ascends towards us a bus in the familiar London red livery is about to come out of the bus station with a service to Morden.
