It had only been carrying this joint advert since July 2025 but it must have been a short-term contract as its already time for it to be removed and its been noted running in standard fleet livery again.

This advert was the fourth to have been carried by 3097, all of which have been in the last 12 months. Its advertising career started in September 2024 with a design for Cheez-It with this removed in January 2025. A short-break followed when an advert for Sealife (on its own!) came in March 2025 for around a month. Then from June 2025 there was an advert for Sunglass Hut with this replaced in July 2025 by the joint Sealife/Legoland Discovery Centre advert.

Then came the loss of the special Love Connects Everyone advert on 3002. As is the norm for Metrolink once Manchester Pride has taken place they remove these special vinyls and so it was the case again this year with the tram noted back in fleet livery on 1st September 2025.

Applied in June 2025 this was the first time that 3002 had been out of fleet livery.

And 3061 has also gone back to full fleet livery. This wasn’t ever have an advert as we usually expect but had been carrying window and partial bodyside adverts for the Bruntwood Prize 20th anniversary.

3061 is a tram which is no stranger to adverts though. It had previously advertised Babyliss, Get On Board, Pegasus Airlines, Rochdale Town Hall, Rockstar Energy drinks, 4th Arq, asos and Allied World.

A photo showing 3097 back in fleet livery when it was partnered with 3083 on a service to Bury at Victoria.
