Trams will continue to operate at a lower frequency during peak times on Nottingham Express Transit for at least another month. The temporary timetable introduced during June had originally been planned to be in use for four weeks but with repairs of the trams taking longer than originally expected it will now be in place until 31at August.<\/p>\n

The temporary timetable sees trams running every 10 minutes for most of the day (early morning and late evening are still every 15 minutes) Monday to Saturday. Usually trams run every seven minutes at peak times. These are the frequencies on each route, so the central section between Nottingham Station and Highbury Vale does still get a tram every five minutes.<\/p>\n
It was introduced after a period where a number of services were having to be cancelled each day because of the number of trams available for service. It was hoped that its introduction would mean there would be more certainty on the timetable, and this has been the case with fewer cancellations being announced on NET\u2019s social media.<\/p>\n
An increased number of trams have suffered accident damage recently which require significant repairs. This includes 207<\/strong> which has gone to Derby for repairs and 228<\/strong> which suffered damage at Queens Walk on 2nd<\/sup> June 2025. The temporary timetable only requires 26 trams out of the fleet of 37.<\/p>\n On the original announcement of this timetable the NET website said it should be in place for four weeks, with an anticipation the normal service could resume by 21st<\/sup> July.
