In fact last time we featured them there was talk from Wrexham Museum about options for their future. That was in March 2021 and over the past five and a bit years has anything changed? No, not really!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Wrexham Museums have owned the two trams \u2013 believed to be numbers <strong>4<\/strong> and <strong>6<\/strong>, built by Brush in 1903 \u2013 since 2005 which is when they moved them to Bersham Colliery. During that time they have been stored in the open and a report completed in 2021 said that they were both rapidly deteriorating and that \u201ctheir current situation is unlikely to last for more than a few years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To try and secure their future they put forward a number of options. This ranged from doing nothing, through donation to another museum, restoration\/conservation cosmetically or even restoring to working condition. This went forward to a public questionnaire and a Zoom meeting to discuss what to do.<\/p>\n<p>But it would appear either no decision was made or they have decided to do nothing as four years later they both remain in the same position, and presumably their condition is continuing to degrade.
