{"id":58844,"date":"2025-06-12T18:00:37","date_gmt":"2025-06-12T17:00:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=58844"},"modified":"2025-06-11T19:35:50","modified_gmt":"2025-06-11T18:35:50","slug":"supertram-offers-free-travel-for-armed-forces-day-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=58844","title":{"rendered":"Supertram offers free travel for Armed Forces Day 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>South Yorkshire Supertram have confirmed that they will be offering members of the armed forces and veterans free travel for the Armed Forces Day celebrations in 2025 (and they are likely to not be the only transport operator to do the same if previous years are any indicator).<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The offer will be available on both Saturday 21<sup>st<\/sup> June (which is Sheffield and Rotherham\u2019s Armed Forces Day) and Saturday 28<sup>th<\/sup> June (the official national Armed Forces Day) and will extend to any current member of the Armed Forces, veterans and cadets in uniform.<\/p>\n<p>To claim free travel one of the following should be presented:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ministry of Defence issued ID card (MOD90)<\/li>\n<li>Veterans\u2019 Badge of Veterans\u2019 ID card<\/li>\n<li>Any official documentation proving status as a serving member or veteran<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Nigel Wragg, Supertram Commercial Manager, said: \u201cArmed Forces Day is an opportunity for all of us to come together and recognise the immense dedication and sacrifices made by our servicemen and women. We believe it\u2019s vital to honour their courage and commitment, not only to show our gratitude but to remind ourselves of the values they uphold in service to our country.
