{"id":583,"date":"2012-04-04T17:17:04","date_gmt":"2012-04-04T17:17:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=583"},"modified":"2012-04-05T08:18:09","modified_gmt":"2012-04-05T08:18:09","slug":"tramlink-2548-receives-all-over-advert","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=583","title":{"rendered":"Tramlink 2548 receives all over advert"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Recently all our attention on London Tramlink has been on the Variotrams and their exploits on test and in service but at the start of this week a surprise appeared on the tramway in the form of <strong>2548 <\/strong>in an all over advert! The vinyl wrap advert is for Walls\u2019 <em>Magnum Infinity<\/em> and was first noted on the tram on Monday 2<sup>nd<\/sup> April.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The vinyl wrap covers almost the entire tram although the majority of the windows have been left blank (with limited contravision on some). The main colour of the advert is pink and the tram retains the Tramlink roundels actually on the advertising vinyls. It has been reported in the local media that <strong>2548 <\/strong>will retain this advert until 13<sup>th<\/sup> May and is part of a major advertising campaign by Walls for the launch of the Magnum Infinity.<\/p>\n<p>The last time a tram in the Tramlink fleet was not carrying standard livery (either the original Red and White or the new Lime Green, White and Blue) was in 2008 when <strong>2552 <\/strong>had an advert for <em>Grants<\/em> which still left the ends in red and white.<\/p>\n<p>This is the second time that <strong>2548 <\/strong>has had an all over advert applied following on from one for <em>The Simpsons Movie <\/em>in late 2007\/early 2008.
