{"id":58209,"date":"2025-04-25T22:00:31","date_gmt":"2025-04-25T21:00:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=58209"},"modified":"2025-04-25T20:01:39","modified_gmt":"2025-04-25T19:01:39","slug":"in-pictures-blackpool-236-makes-it-ten-operational-trams-at-crich","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=58209","title":{"rendered":"In Pictures: Blackpool 236 makes it ten operational trams at Crich"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Crich Tramway Village has reached double figures of fully commissioned passenger services with Wednesday 23<sup>rd<\/sup> April seeing the return to action of <strong>Blackpool 236<\/strong> for the first time in 2025.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>As with eight of the other trams which have run so far this year, <strong>236<\/strong> was also part of the operational fleet in 2024, and the Boat Car is always a popular tram for this fine and sunny days experienced during the Great British summer (and late spring and early autumn!).<\/p>\n<p><strong>236<\/strong> \u2013 which is currently the only Blackpool Boat Car which is running in the UK, with its three Blackpool based sisters confined to Rigby Road Depot\/Tramtown whilst that operation is suspended \u2013 becomes the third Blackpool tram to be used in service at Crich this year (<strong>Standard 40<\/strong> and <strong>Brush 630<\/strong> the others) and is not due to be the last with the commissioning programme far from finished yet!<\/p>\n<p>The ten trams which have now run are Blackpool trams <strong>40<\/strong>, <strong>236<\/strong>, <strong>630<\/strong>, <strong>Chesterfield 7<\/strong>, <strong>Glasgow 22<\/strong>, Leeds pair <strong>345<\/strong> and <strong>399<\/strong>, <strong>London Transport 1622<\/strong>, <strong>Newcastle 102<\/strong> and <strong>Sheffield 74<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>With the school Easter holidays now over, Crich has returned to being open Saturday to Wednesday each week.
