They still be in the middle of their phased introduction but the new Tyne and Wear Metro train are already seeping into the consciousness of people across the region, so much so that one appeared at the recent Newcastle Puppetry Festival! Part of the Festival was the Toon Underground Community Parade, and this featured a 15 metre long puppet of one of the Stadler built trains.<\/p>\n

Sarah McCourt, Head of Communications and Marketing at Nexus, said: \u201cWe were delighted to see our new Metro train feature so prominently in his year\u2019s Newcastle Puppetry Festival, which is a fantastically visual event for the city.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe completed Metro puppet looked amazing. It\u2019s size had huge impact and really caught the eye during the parade. The crowds loved seeing this locally iconic brand playing a part in the event.<\/p>\n
