{"id":57966,"date":"2025-04-12T14:00:57","date_gmt":"2025-04-12T13:00:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=57966"},"modified":"2025-04-11T18:43:05","modified_gmt":"2025-04-11T17:43:05","slug":"seaton-10-tops-the-mileage-charts-for-march","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=57966","title":{"rendered":"Seaton 10 tops the mileage charts for March"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As we\u2019ve entered April its time to look back at March and see which trams were out on the tracks at the Seaton Tramway during the month, courtesy of the monthly update newsletter the tramway produces and sends to subscribers.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>March saw the tramway running at weekends only (although that has now changed with daily opening until the start of November in operation now) and there were three of the regular passenger trams which weren\u2019t required although the other nine all made appearances.<\/p>\n<p>As is usual one of the newest trams tops the charts with <strong>10<\/strong> \u2013 still retaining its Glasgow inspired livery \u2013 managing to cover 354 miles, which amounts to 59 trips up and down the line between Seaton and Colyton.<\/p>\n<p>Open-top Feltham style tram no. <strong>12<\/strong> also managed over 300 miles with 324 in total recorded whilst the medal positions were concluded by <strong>9<\/strong> which managed 288 miles. The mainly clement weather enjoyed during March is shown in the figures as the enclosed saloons didn\u2019t see as much use with <strong>19<\/strong> not out at all. The other two trams not used were <strong>4<\/strong> and <strong>8<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The full figures were as follows:<\/p>\n<p>10 \u2013 354 miles<\/p>\n<p>12 \u2013 324 miles<\/p>\n<p>9 \u2013 288 miles<\/p>\n<p>11 \u2013 198 miles<\/p>\n<p>16 \u2013 114 miles<\/p>\n<p>15 \u2013 102 miles<\/p>\n<p>6 \u2013 60 miles<\/p>\n<p>2 \u2013 48 miles<\/p>\n<p>14 \u2013 6 miles<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Seaton Tramway is now open daily until Sunday 2<sup>nd<\/sup> November 2025. The Blue timetable will operate until Friday 25<sup>th<\/sup> July before the Pink timetable is introduced for the summer holidays.
