During these works \u2013 scheduled to continue until Sunday 13<sup>th<\/sup> April \u2013 no trams are running from Birley Lane to Halfway with replacement buses in operation instead. Stuart Cooke investigated some of the early works and temporary service arrangements at Birley Lane.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>After an initial three day stage of works near to Birley Lane tramstop, from Tuesday 1<sup>st<\/sup> April the works moved on to the section of line further towards Halfway.
