Blackpool\u2019s Last Street Tramways"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The chances are even if you just have a passing interest in the Blackpool Tramway, somewhere on your shelf will be a book by Brian Turner and now is your chance to add to that collection with his latest book now out: Blackpool\u2019s Last Street Tramways.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This is a companion to his last book \u2013 Via Marton \u2013 but has the major advantage of being almost twice the size, with 208 pages and over 400 pictures, most of which are in colour. The name Brian Turner as the author gives you an idea of the quality you will be able to enjoy and is bound to be an excellent addition to any tram enthusiasts collection.<\/p>\n<p>The book is in three main parts, covering the final years of Lytham Road (closed 1961), Dickson Road (closed 1963) and Princess Street (2005\/2013). A fourth part brings the story up to date with coverage of the new street tramway along Talbot Road to North Station.<\/p>\n<p>Only 150 copies of the book are being produced so you will have to be quick to secure your copy.
