We reach the last stop in this section of the Edinburgh Trams system as \u201cStop by Stop\u201d takes a look at Saughton.<\/p>\n

The tram leaves from the previous stop at Balgreen and continues to run along a segregated section of tramway with the Edinburgh to Glasgow railway line running alongside. Just after we reach Saughton tramstop the Fife Circle railway line diverges. There is a bridge just before the stop as well where Saughton Road goes underneath the tramway (and railway). This was also the scene of a fatal accident on 2018 when a pedestrian was hit by a tram on a crossing which led to a \u00a3240,000 fine for breaches of health and safety regulations.<\/p>\n
With a grass bank to one side, Saughton tramstop has platforms either side of the tracks. Both have the usual amenities including shelters, passenger information, ticket machines, lighting and CCTV. The overhead is still supported by centre poles here.<\/p>\n
