We go \u201cUp Close\u201d with another advert in this article as we take a look at the newest wrap in Sheffield \u2013 that on 115<\/strong> promoting the various Park and Ride sites located adjacent to tramstops. Stuart Cooke helps us to take a closer look at some of the detail of the advert.<\/p>\n

115<\/strong> received this advert in January 2025 with it being just its second wrap since entering service over 30 years ago. Its only previous ad was for JD Sports which came immediately before this, being carried November 2024-January 2025.<\/p>\n

The Park and Ride advert is the first time that one of the tram has featured the new South Yorkshire Supertram branding externally since the change of ownership in March 2024 and is also the second time that a tram has been used to promote the Park and Ride sites which can be used by travellers on the tram system (116<\/strong> having carried vinyls for this since April 2023).<\/p>\n

The design is different to that seen on 116<\/strong> and features a variety of colours including blues and yellow along with details of just where the Park and Ride sites can be found including the \u201ccoming soon\u201d site at Rotherham Parkgate.<\/p>\n

This is one end of the tram showing the contrasting colours used. This end tells us about the 205 spaces available at the Valley Centertainment park and ride site.<\/p><\/div>\n

The other end of this side of the tram shows the different colours used throughout the advert. This end also gives information about Meadowhall\u2019s 328 available spaces.<\/p><\/div>\n

The other side of the tram and one of the end sections with a blue and a turquoise shade used. The forthcoming park and ride site at Parkgate Rotherham is also publicised here.<\/p><\/div>\n

One of the centre sections of the tram with the bold colours standing out. The new Supertram logo is prominent here along with the slogan \u201cFASTER, FRIENDLIER, FREQUENT\u201d.<\/p><\/div>\n

And back to the other side of the tram with the difference in design seen. The same slogan is used and more of the available park and ride sites are given. Further done the tram comes the important message that parking is free at all these sites.
