Edinburgh Trams have given a new warning to anyone around their network about the dangers when crossing the tracks.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>As with other systems the campaign includes signage across the network using the \u201cTwo lines = STOP\u201d wording. Its seen on board trams, at key tram stops and is also used across their social media channels.<\/p>\n<p>Don McClurg, Safety Manager at Edinburgh Trams, said: &#8220;It\u2019s very easy to walk around the city on autopilot when you\u2019re familiar with the area. The dangers increase in the evening even more, particularly for those visiting or on a night out. As a public transport operator, safety has always been our top priority. By engaging with communities near the tramway, we\u2019re making sure everyone plays a part in reducing the risk of potential incidents.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Research has shown that the biggest threat to pedestrians is blind corners and multiple vehicles.
