The South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA) have recently launched a consultation to find out the views of the public to see whether it is a move which would be popular.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Currently only either assistance dogs or dogs in a carry cage can be carried on the trams, but that could change depending on the results of the consultation which is live now on the SYMCA website.<\/p>\n<p>The SYMCA say that this is part of their commitment to improving the service and passenger experience since the network was brought back into public control in March 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The consultation remains open until Monday 3<sup>rd<\/sup> March 2025 and is open to anyone, including those who don\u2019t live in South Yorkshire.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The consultation can be completed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.southyorkshire-ca.gov.uk\/explore_dogs-on-trams\">https:\/\/www.southyorkshire-ca.gov.uk\/explore_dogs-on-trams<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Could dogs be allowed to travel on board the South Yorkshire Supertram network?
