<\/a>Although it is expected that at least some of the line (or at least that is what the Midland Metro Alliance website tells us) will be built without overhead to allow the trams to operate for sections on battery power it won\u2019t be possible for the entire line to be so fitted. That means that it will need overhead wires installing and in preparation for that they have recently started to put in the overhead support posts. This is currently evident between Wednesbury Depot and Great Bridge as seen in the distance in this photo.<\/p><\/div>\n
