Passengers who use Manchester Metrolink\u2019s Eccles line are being urged to check before they travel next month as the first set of improvement works for 2025 get underway at Weaste. The work will be taking place between Saturday 1st<\/sup> and Tuesday 25th<\/sup> February and will mean there are no trams running between Eccles and MediaCityUK.<\/p>\n

Ian Davies, TfGM\u2019s Interim Network Director for Metrolink, commented: \u201cThe works at Weaste tram stop are essential to ensure that services on the Eccles line remain safe and reliable for the thousands of journeys people make on it every day.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs always, we are working hard to keep any disruption to an absolute minimum, including the provision of replacement buses for our passengers. \u00a0Metrolink is the biggest light rail system in the country, so it\u2019s critically important we keep investing in the network and making sure it remains a safe, reliable and accessible way to get around Greater Manchester well into the future.<\/p>\n
