The work will be taking place between Saturday 1<sup>st<\/sup> and Tuesday 25<sup>th<\/sup> February and will mean there are no trams running between Eccles and MediaCityUK.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Ian Davies, TfGM\u2019s Interim Network Director for Metrolink, commented: \u201cThe works at Weaste tram stop are essential to ensure that services on the Eccles line remain safe and reliable for the thousands of journeys people make on it every day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs always, we are working hard to keep any disruption to an absolute minimum, including the provision of replacement buses for our passengers. \u00a0Metrolink is the biggest light rail system in the country, so it\u2019s critically important we keep investing in the network and making sure it remains a safe, reliable and accessible way to get around Greater Manchester well into the future.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile this essential work at Weaste is ongoing, I would encourage people to plan ahead and check our website or the Bee Network app for the latest travel information before setting off.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>From Saturday 1<sup>st<\/sup> until Tuesday 25<sup>th<\/sup> February the following revised tram services will run:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ashton-under-Lyne to MediaCityUK<\/li>\n<li>Etihad Campus to MediaCityUK (peak time only)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A replacement bus service will operate between MediaCityUK and Eccles with Metrolink tickets valid on this service. Whilst there are also Bee Network bus services which operate in the affected area Metrolink tickets will not be accepted on these.<\/p>\n<p>The work is part of a planned \u00a3147 million package to maintain, upgrade, and improve the Metrolink network up until 2027.
